- Shooting film makes you value every shot you take. Every shot you take cost you money so you tend to take more time composing every shot.
- If you want to learn photography you need to understand exposure properly. Shooting film gives you more control over the exposure as film has less tolerance (tolerance is the variation between an under exposed image and an over exposed image) and therefore requires you to make a more accurate exposure decision.
- Prints are nice and a great big print of an image you are proud of is so so so much better than a nice big jpeg...I don’t care how nice your screen is! Sure you can get digital images printed.....but do you?
- Photo albums are hard to lose. Hard drives crash....a lot.
- Film cameras are so cheap now...you can buy heaps of second hand Cameras and try them all out till you find one you really like.
- You look cooler with a Film Camera.
